You just seem to be naming all the D1A schools in a state.
However that is not reality. Ohio State University is the main and dominant school in Ohio. Ohio State is Ohio's team. I don't care if Akron, or Ohio, or any other school is in Ohio.
Likewise for , Nebraska, and Tennessee and I would definitely include LSU in that conversation.
Yes there are other D1A type schools in Louisiana, but only LSU counts. Put another way, you have LSU playing the role of Secretriat and the other directional schools in LA playing the roles of all the other horses in the 1973 Belmont. And this analogy applies equally for Ohio and some other states.
A few states like Alabama have two main and dominant schools. Alabama and Auburn. There are no other D1A schools that count. What the saying in Alabama. If you move to that state, you have to choose to root for either Auburn or Alabama. UAB, et al, in Alabama are irrelevant, or at least irrelevant to all but a handful of alumni of those particular schools.
