There is absolutely no conclusive evidence that ball ever hits the ground

Hogan has the ball squeezed between his left wrist and left shoulder/bicep. When he lands the ball squirts forward but his right hand also appears to slide between the turf and the ball. Does his hand keep the ball off the turf? I don't know. Perhaps not. But that is not indisputable visual evidence. He then rolls over and secures the ball.

I can't believe we've had this long of a thread over a non-reversal of a call for which there is not indisputable visual evidence.

If you're asking me if I think the ball hit the ground before he had established control -- sure, it's possible. It's also possible that his left arm is still squeezing the back of the ball and his right hand slides in and keeps the ball off the turf -- and then he fully secures the ball.

It is not clear cut. I was rooting for KC. I'd like nothing more than for a few more calls to go KC's way. But this is not a call that should be overturned.

Just because one angle APPEARS to show something doesn't mean it's accurate. Remember the muffed punt call on Edelman? There is an angle that seems to be quite definitive in showing Edelman's right thumb grazing the ball. Then, another angle shows his right hand was a couple of inches away.

This Hogan catch simply isn't conclusive -- so you go with the ruling on the field.
