I like Brooks. He has recruited some talent. VT is capable of winning against ACC teams except ND and L'ville.
But his coaching--or lack of coaching--really concerns me. VT's offense with that circle handoff routine 30 feet from basket is too easy to defend. Just stay with your woman as she moves to take a handoff from VT player with the ball. Girls are good shooters, but the scheme does not get them open shots. Scheme has 4 or 5 players outside and prevents players from offensive rebounding because they are not in position. Even after timeouts, VT seems to have no set play designed to score. It;s just go in and run the circle and hand it off.

With 2 fouls to give and 11 seconds to defend (later 5.5 seconds to defend) no one KNOWS to foul NCSU players before they take a shot? What in all BB coaching lets that happen?

Brooks seems incapable of complaining when refs make awful calls. Some of the fouls today were tacky, tacky, tacky. He laughs but does not even ask the ref what the hell he saw.
