I agree with you somewhat about Duke and OADs, but that's mostly

selfish of me: I prefer good team ball that has the very characteristics you cite. Team cohesion, on offense and defense, is a beautiful thing to watch.

That said, I can see why Krzyzewski might want to coach the best athletes to see what he can do with them. And maybe he thinks he can coach them up in just a year to the extent that they have good team cohesion.

Certainly Duke is showing better team defensive cohesion this year, but I'm uncertain yet whether that's a matter of coaching or a matter of personnel. Among other things, Williamson and Barrett both seem to put more effort into the defensive end of the floor than Carter and, particularly, Bagley did.

It'll be interesting to see how the season plays out. In particular, I'm interested to see how your game plays out against Duke. You certainly have good team cohesion on both sides of the ball. If Duke can't keep Robinson out of the paint and Blackshear stays out of foul trouble, I think you have much better than a puncher's chance.

BTW, is there some way I can have a different user name here than on the Saber??? I find myself repeatedly having to identify myself as a Hoo over here so that my remarks can be taken in the proper context.
