A lot of the classics are in fact classic, but Pan's Labrynth, Blade Runner

Four months, three weeks, two days, City of God, Even a movie like Breaking Away is cartoonish but has a fair amount of truth to it (Everyone cheats, i just didn't know) With the remake of Mary Poppins I'm reminded how good the original Mary Poppins was despite Dick VanDyke bad English accent, there are some deep currents there especially for a children's movie. (and it's OK to be a great children's movie)

I haven't been into movies lately, watch like 2-3 a year. Just saw Aquaman in fact, give it a 3.5, which is a good score, that is, "3" means that I paid my money and enjoyed it but I didn't really spend a lot of time afterwards turning things over in my head.

RRT it was great b/c it gets into that whole thing that you really don't know people completely and may never know so you kind have to find peace with that and enjoy what you do know like the magic of fly-fishing skills (and yeah, I know that sounds stupid)

Some of the classics are hey, Citizen Kane, La Strada, the absolutely brilliant "The Bicycle Thief" Das boot is probably 5 star... High noon, 12 angry men, ... ... ...
