I only posted these thoughts in response to those posts above talking about

what we could have done differently as a program. I am grateful for all that Beamer did for the program. These kinds of debates should be able to be performed without feeling angry or believing his legacy is being attacked. When we stop examining as a program, society or nation on what we have done right and wrong focusing of rectifying the latter we will begin to decline.
