What next step are you referring to - the national championship game? Uh, he did that. And he is probably the most humble and empathetic coach in the history of the game - the exact opposite of hubris. Hubris would be acting like a know-it-all and someone who will rub an opponent's coach's nose in it by running up the score just because he can.
