Sure Bama football is taken seriously down there and they have more booster money, but similar schools can be mediocre for years. U Florida was a football laughingstock for many years before spurrier. U Tennessee is mediocre now and has been for a while but has similar advantages to Bama and Clemson. USC Trojans are down. Fairly soon they will probably be back and we will talk about all the “advantages” they have recruiting California. At the end of the day VT has been to 26 bowls in a row. We are a prominent brand in the eyes of recruits - who’ve never known VT to be anything but good. We need a coach to put a PROGRAM together that fires on all cylinders. Jury is certainly out on this one.
