Last year, pretty much every time he got his hands locked around a leg, he could suck it in, get to a scramble, and then win the scramble.

This year looks like there's a little more meat on the bones when he get to the leg. That extra hip pressure seems to be frustrating him and he's not able to get to his scrambles as often.

Looked like once he felt the hips of Smith he didn't like it, couldn't find a back up plan, and kinda panicked/got sloppy.

I think he can still win the scrambles (see OT vs Hidlay), he just needs to find a way to not get caught underneath.
