I had sort of an opposite impression of NASA (but at Kennedy SC in FL).


I understand your comment about it being a little underwhelming. But what impressed me was how much they were able accomplish in the 1960s with what seems like very primitive technology. The Mercury launch control rooms were in literal blockhouses a few yards from the launch pad.

BTW - you probably wouldn't like those nice interchanges when they ice up :-) Those are the first things that close when we start getting ice storms.

And I've already told all my Longhorn friends that their campus doesn't compare to Blacksburg :-)
