It wouldn’t be irrelevant if I was a parent or guardian. Using one’s “Christian faith” to recruit would be akin to the coach telling me that he believes in Bigfoot and unicorns. I’d have greater attentiveness to his demand for honesty, hard work, and accountability, etc., not that his lineages believed the earth was flat or his belief that dinosaurs and humans rubbed elbows.
