Because we stopped playing in the 2nd half.

Same as always, when things get rough they fold. Seems like same thing different year at this point. I really thought this was the year things might start changing for this program, but it doesn't look like it unfortunately. We just got outplayed by UVA specifically in the 4th quarter. Blowing a big lead like we had against a team with that record is inexcusable. Honestly I have not been this frustrated with a loss in a long time and it isn't because it is UVA. It is because they literally gave up. They thought once they had that large lead that there was no way to lose no matter what. It is like the losing ACC culture is still here and we have not gotten over that bump yet. There are a lot of great teams in the ACC, UVA is not one of them and we should have had this win. They have to be more aggressive and get better passing skills and communication and quit playing to keep a lead every-time they get one. That is a problem I have seen even before ACC play that I knew would kill us once we got to the ACC. Honestly I think they went into this season believing they were owed an NCAA Tournament bid this year. Just being honest, they are going to be in the WNIT again especially losing like this to teams like this. That is going backwards not forwards. Sorry for the rant I am just frustrated with being a long time VT WBB fan and dealing with the constant set backs for years now.
