A quick 3 and out by our D is very important. I'll take a 3 and out on our opponent's own 10 yard line any day over a long drive that we can stall on our own 10 any day. A strong 3 and out swings field position, keeps our D fresh, gives tremendous momentum, demoralizes an offense to keep them out of synch and tires the opponent's defense by keeping them on the field.
