The problem is that while it's impossible from the outside to determine whether some coaching changes would be for the best, that really IS the best answer far more often than it occurs that that is deemed to be the best answer. Far too often, HCs hold on to assistants for longer than they should due to loyalty, comfort, or whatever other reasons.

Again, I'm not saying that the solution here is to fire coaches. But that needs to be evaluated, as does every single element of the program. I also wonder about Hilgart at this point...
