What ESPN preached, and what was reality

ESPN preached:

the SEC was “all world” and should just join the NFL now. No other conference can hang. The SEC was so good, they should have two teams in the playoff every year. UGA belonged in the playoff.

Reality:

the SEC is good, probably the better overall football conference, but they aren’t that much better than everyone else. They built their OOC “rep” by playing the absolutely weakest teams possible, and rarely plays tough games on the road. The exceptions are the games against their in-state rivals.

UGA didn’t belong in the playoff. If they had blown out Tejas, then maybe I would agree, but not only didn’t they blow out the Horns, but they lost. Texas was by far the tougher team. They made the Dawgs their beoches.

Bama looked “out classed,” and got “out played” and “out toughed” by Clemson. Clemson made the big plays when they needed them, which was almost every drive. Bama reminded me a little of Miami how they lost their composure. Guess the key to beating them is to hit them in the mouth, then keep hitting them in the mouth all game. They expect every team to assume the fetal position, and don’t know how to act when they don’t.

Clemson owned the intestinal fortitude factor last night, and it wasn’t close.

Yeah, this is a little harsh, but definitely on point. Suck it ESPN!
