Generally speaking that is true, but I still think we had an anomaly of a
season. Such an enormous amount of youth and even some players that would never play at all were forced to play. I don't want to mention any names because that isn't my style, but one DB, who I believe is a walk-on, got toasted the few times he was in games this year. It happened again yesterday. He isn't D1 material, but he had to play because everyone vacated the team for various reasons. We lost 7 DB's from last year not counting Devon Hunter and Jeremy Webb. That counts for something more than most on this board are willing to admit. The recruiting at DT is a little worrisome, though. No position should get that far behind. It will cost us at least one more year.
On the other side of the coin another DB seems to have regressed in tackling ability, but admittedly he has been hurt most of his career.
