ECU had a hurricane inbound, and wanted to pull out of the game. VT’s AD asked to delay their decision a day to see if the hurricane changes course. ECU thought about it after they hung up the phone, them said screw it, we’re going to Disney World.

VT found out ECU’s decision via social media, since ECU was too much of a crap pile to even call VT. VT’s fans thought ECU would have their players helping out in the community to prepare for the storm, but they decided to go to Orlando instead.

Blacksburg received a little rain, but the field was in great condition.

VT fans got over it until we heard that instead of rescheduling their trip to Blacksburg the last week of the regular season, ECU gave VT the middle finger and scheduled NCSU. We’ve heard ECU fans say that they didn’t schedule VT because we wanted an “out” clause in case we played in the ACC Championship Game. That’s true, but NCSU had a similar clause in their contract with ECU.

ECU did not deal in good faith in the originally scheduled game, and they gave us a big “FU” instead of a make up game.
