Certain positions have a huge talent/depth gap and we need an immediate fix
to be competitive so I think they are doing the right thing here. Otherwise we were headed for another horrible year defensively. At DE: Gaines, Belmar, and Garbutt are the only ones that ready to be significant contributors IMO. Proctor and Debose might be good later on but neither was ready to play this year. At DT for next year Hewitt and Porcher are the only two players that are ready to play, we are headed for disaster if we don't have depth behind them. Burke is hurt and who knows how he will be next fall. Cornerback is another key position that is challenged albeit not as bad, I think Farley and Watt will be significantly better next year, we redshirted a bunch of players at that position, and I think Waller and Quillen also will be much improved so I am less worried headed into 2019 at cb
