With the normal end of year tax loss selling plus the recent dip in the market, it presents some buying opportunities.

I still think companies tied to the new 5G telecom rollout will see benefit and growth in future, but with the China issues and the risk around new technologies, not sure if the benefit is in 2019 or 2020. A few stocks to research within this area (LITE, AAOI, FNSR, ACIA). Most have gotten beaten up pretty good this year due to slower sales in their older tech so good buying opportunities.

Weed. Definitely still very much a growth sector and if the farm bill passes soon it could have a very positive impact on these companies and stocks. I'm personally still researching companies in this space so others here probably have a better handle on good choices. That said, there is one that was recently hit by a big short attack and should see a nice bounce back over the next few weeks (APHA) for a short term play.

Lowe's. Don't have any personal love for them but their new CEO has stated his sole mission is to make the stock price catch up with Home Depot. Might be risky for long term, but over the next year there are many levers he can pull to get short term bumps that will help investors. The big spike from this fall show what it is capable of. Might be worth checking.

Disney. With the purchase of all those Fox assets, it just sets Disney up for even more growth in the future. Still too early to judge if they have solved for ESPN issues, but at a minimum this is a very safe investment with a consistent semi annual dividend over the past few years.
