I'm going to give you the opposite advice

We cut cable due to cost/price but wish we still had it. Of course our financial situation hasn't really changed so we didn't go back to it. We tried many of the streaming services: Hulu, Sling, Amazon, YouTube, DirecTV now, etc. IMO they are all about the same.
Make sure you have good bandwith and router plus don't plan to watch TV if someone else is using WIFI. We have tons of issues with freezing, pixelating, jumping, and wash out.
At some point in the future we are going back to cable and I will not be sorry in the least.
As for the over the air antennas, maybe some of the really expensive ones are good but we live in a pretty populated area and all the ones we've tried (probably 4 or more different ones) have a hard time picking up even the local network channels. Just a step below streaming on the frustration scale.
Oh and if it's going freeze or drop out on any given day, it will be at the critical moment of a Tech game. Never fails.
If you want my advice, find a good deal on your local cable provider or DirecTV and forget about streaming. Maybe just one man's (family) experience but you can have the streaming option.
