YouTube TV offers a online DVR

Lots of options, but make sure you buy a streaming package that includes ESPN. You'll need it for 90% of VT's football and BB games.

There are two things you should invest in before cutting the cord. First you need to buy a device that will provide streaming services to your television. Those include Amazon Fire Cube or Fire Stick, Apple TV, Roku, etc. I have the first two, and they work very well. I've also heard fantastic things about the Roku, so you really can't go wrong with any of those. (Assuming you have a wireless router connected to your cable modem. If not, then you'll need to purchase a good, multi-band "AC" router.)

If you have Amazon Prime, you can start enjoying the "streaming experience" with Prime TV. They offer a lot of movies and television shows so you'll know what to expect.

The second thing you should get before cutting the cord is a good antenna. Those little indoor "plug in" antennas may work great for you, or they may be limited. I have what I read was the best small indoor antenna, and it will pick up some stations pointed in one direction, but I have to turn it 90 degrees to get other stations...and I still can't get our local ABC affiliate. Gurrrrrrr! If that's the case, you might want to invest in a large roof top antenna, and place that either on the roof, or in your attic.

Recommend getting familiar with switching the source input on your television. You'll need to know how to switch between your antenna and your streaming (Hulu/Fire Cube/Apple TV) device.

Good luck!
