Though I think an expansion to 16 (requiring four teams) would be the most likely scenario involving Marshall. But I don't think they expand unless they get the right 4 (or maybe only 2 for the time).

But I still think Marshall is better off as an upper tier CUSA team than they would be as an FCS school. I think from a branding perspective, going back to FCS would be a tough sell after 20 (largely successful) years in FBS.
