In fact, I wonder if maybe the problem there as far as messy departures go is the fault of Bourne..... Matthews left in a messy divorce. Same for Withers. Apparently Houston wasn't welcome back if things didn't work out at ECU (though I still think cooler heads would have ultimately prevailed). But then you look at basketball and how they forced Brady out too (their first successful basketball coach since Lefty left two decades earlier). It seems too coincidental that everyone leaves under messy circumstances there.
