Athletically, there's almost an obsession they have with VT. Heck, even academically they think they're closer in stature to UVA than they are to VT (when in reality, they're on par with and probably a bit below VT regionally and barely a blip nationally).

Of course, the reality is that they thought they had Kam Chancellor locked up and all it took to change that was a simple phone call from Virginia Tech and he was gone (his recruiter there was PISSED... but it worked out for him).
