Just curious what is the factor that ND cherishes most?

If ND could join the ACC in full (and be eligible to play in the ACCCG) with playing only 5 games against ACC teams like they do now... would that be palatable?

Just curious whether the issue is # of conference games and the corresponding inflexibility with national scheduling? Or just the "identity issue" of being associated with a conference in football?

(Not saying I would be ok allowing ND to access the ACCCG with only 5 ACC games... just curious about the thinking from the ND side.)
