It sounds reasonable...


But, a beauty contest is not what an athletic competition should be about. You plays your cards and takes your chances. If you can't win your conference you should be second fiddle. In every other sport, winning is the only way to advance. In college football is all about being sexy or pretty and being good is secondary if it is considered at all. Ask yourself how many SEC teams are really good each year and all of the hype and forgiveness they get for an in-conference loss. It is not warranted.
