I guess it loses a tiny bit of something due to the playoffs, but it's

still the only bowl with its own TV deal, and that goes through 2026. They are still getting conference champs most years, and it's not like they have to take a NW if it loses tomorrow night. Ticket prices are still sky high, the same with hotel rooms. Maybe it doesn't produce a national champ every year, but the stature of it is as strong as it has ever been.
