Had a neighbor show up to ours in a Michael Myers mask. It ended... badly
So the annual meeting was postponed, and the new date fell a day or two after Halloween. So he posted to the HOA facebook page asking if he should come dressed in his Halloween costume. Everyone on facebook thought it was funny.
Apparently several people in the audience did not. No one said anything to my neighbor ("excuse me... you're making my wife uncomfortable -- could you remove the mask, please"). Instead they told the rent-a-cop, who in turn called the police. So they let my neighbor sit in the room for a solid hour, and just before the end of the meeting the rent-a-cop taps him on the shoulder and asks him to step outside, where 4 cars, lights ablazin', greet him.
They threatened to arrest him, and apparently it would have been a felony; it's illegal in virginia to wear a mask in public (unless at a themed event) if you're above the age 13. The would have (and felt pretty good about a conviction) had he not broadcast his intent publicly before hand - because the law states that there must be intent to conceal your identity, which he clearly did not by stating he was going to do it on Facebook.
Ah, good times.
