I meant like 30 years ago, they were thinking about closing

DCA because it was dangerous to fly in and out of (to avoid restricted areas, like you know the White House or the Pentagon) and pretty hard to get to period. So, of course, they did the opposite.

I sorta guessed at the metro comments, so thanks for clarifying, does seem pretty stupid except I realize some of that maintenance is serious long term problems they've been fixing, but yeah, they should have five million buses lined up and message telling how to get them.

Last time I was there it was still kinda a pain in the but to go from the metro to the airport, (like, loaded down w/suitcases) don't know if that's changed
