Like mughal said, they closed the Metro for maintenance.

On a holiday weekend. I drove a rental car. The last two miles to the airport took me 40 minutes. I saw people walking in the rain with their luggage almost a mile away from the airport. There was a line of people several hundred yards long waiting to get on buses since the metro wasn’t there. Of course, there were no buses because they were stuck in the same traffic as everyone else.
