I'm not arguing with you, but did the women pictured not consent to...

...being objectified when they posed for the photos? I don't want to steer this in a UWS direction, but that is what has always perplexed me about the crowd that complains about the objectification of women as sex objects. No one has benefitted from that practice more than the women that willfully participate in it. I'd be willing to bet that almost every woman whose photos have ever been posted on TSL is a public persona because of her physical appearance and not because of talent, achievements, intelligence, etc. I'm not saying those women don't possess some of those qualities, but rather that those qualities are not why the women get attention. We live in a superficial society, and attractive people get noticed. It's just the way it is.

That's not to say I'm in favor of these threads...just that I don't think the requested moratorium was due to a moral effort to protect the women pictured.
