The ACC submitted rules change request on this a few years ago.


The ACC submitted a rules change request to enable the Conferences to be able to determine how to name their champions and not to have such rigid formats for the divisions. It was supported by the Big 12.

But Jim Delany mobilized the Big Ten, Pac 12, and SEC to vote against it. So it failed.
