I disagree, it is a popular sentiment, just not a financial one


'course money is always popular ;^)
just look at Maryland, same thing, they miss playing Duke, last time they beat them they had riots in College Park type thing, (I know that's not a good thing but it sorta is) UNC and arch-rival for them also UVA so now, how are they going to get excited about playing say, IOWA? They're not.

And I suspect a lot of this stuff with Durken is their effort to become a tough Big Ten team, even hiring a Michigan D couch. The devil offered them money and they took it. I'd even argue there will be a long term waning of interest in football now.
