Maryland football is what it is. They need to bring in another head coach like Bobby Ross. I thought Ralph Friedgen did a good job there. I expect that in a few years Louisville will be doing just fine with its football program. Their basketball program is having a quality recruiting year despite all their NCAA and federal troubles. Some schools can go through embarrassing messes and still come out smelling like roses. Penn State, Ohio State, USC, Alabama, maybe even Louisville and UNC are a few that do. Maryland isn't one of them. Don't forget that Maryland suffered after the Len Bias drug overdose. I wonder if Tech could survive what Maryland is presently going through or what Penn State survived? Look at what the late 1980's probation did to both our football and basketball programs and that was minor compared to what Penn State, Maryland, UNC, or Louisville went through. I guess Tech isn't as slimy as some of the bigger players in P-5? Only SMU got the hammer.
