Seems like most manufacturers quality is declining. My biggest issue with Samsung is their lack of customer service. Their appliances look good though.

Had a Samsung washer and dryer that I got maybe five-six years out of, then both just started falling apart. Pieces here or there breaking, electronic board going out. Luckily my washer lid never "exploded", but was one of the ones at risk. Replaced with Maytag.

Have a fridge that's just a little over two years old that I'm having issues with them now over. Ice maker constantly freezes up. They know it's a common issue, they've acknowledged it's an issue due to a faulty design, but they won't issue a recall to fix and won't cover out of their one year warranty.
