College football is already less interesting now that NYD Bowls are dead

I mean the NYD bowls that mattered. So why not, why not deal a death blow by instituting a boring 8-team, guaranteed slot playoff? Why not render the OSU loss to Purdue completely irrelevant? Why not ask college kids to play an NFL 16-game schedule?

What used to be a fantastic 2-3 day span of fantastic bowl games will turn into three weeks of protracted mediocrity. All products eventually get pushed to saturation by sellers I guess, and CFB is no different.
