I agree with you, and that makes ME very uncomfortable.

I harbor no ill will towards Josh Jackson at all, but I feel that Ryan Willis' performance in his first start for VT against Duke was better than any performance I can remember from Josh Jackson's ~14-15 games at VT. If Fuente wants his "expected outcomes" to be positive, he either needs more playmakers around his ho-hum QB, or he needs his QB to himself be a playmaker, particularly in a season such as this when the defense is getting torched repeatedly.

I'll be honest - it bothers me that Fuente does not want to publicly say anything positive about Ryan Willis. I'm not inside his head, and maybe there is a strategy to his methods (maybe Willis is prone to getting a giant ego and Fuente knows he needs to keep that in check, or maybe he's trying to keep Jackson from transferring), but it just seems to me that if I had a new QB that I was trying to break in, that I would throw him a compliment him every once in a while, even if I knew I was going to have to berate him in practice/the film room for forcing some throws. It just strikes me as odd that Fuente treats this one particular player differently than almost all of the others.

Obviously no one asked me, and this is all just conjecture anyway, but it does make me scratch my head.
