How does that happen in the span of one day when the NCAA drags its feet on just about everything? Did they actually look to see if anyone else was available to play the position? Even a guy that's redshirting could have played if he hasn't been in four games already. Or did they just say "Oh we'll take your word for it that there's no depth" and rubber stamp the waiver. Is this something that happens often for other schools? It's hard not to be cynical and think that UNC knew this was an important game and wanted to pull out all the stops to win including getting one of their better defensive player's suspension delayed.
