They defeated Radford in both games of the DH -- something VTSB hasn't been able to do the last few years. The new additions on the field and in the dugout seem to have had a positive impact on the program. Pitching and defense are strong, hitting is improved, plus much improved baserunning, etc. are reasons for optimism. With the new transfer rules now in effect, there is the possibility of additional roster changes, but regardless this team looks deeper talent wise and is playing with more energy and focus. Let's hope that translates well into the Spring.
