or is this like the ol bama technique of feigning interest in "recruit A"
who other intense-rival schools (i.e: unc, ncsu, 'cuse, VT, hoova, etc.) are also recruiting in order to get recruit A not to commit to the other rival school. that stalls recruit A until the rival school is forced to recruit a secondary recruit B completing their scholarship quota. bama/dook/whateveru continues to slow-walk recruit A until they sign recruit C (someone else they really wanted all the time more than recruit A). then b/d/wu shove recruit A aside - leaving him/her to find another school not even in the same conference, and thereby not benefitting their intense-rival.
bama has famously done this more-than-once to auburn and probably other sec teams.
have we now been upgraded to an in-conference "intense-rival" status; and is Harris recruit A ?
Go Hokies!
