Yes.

Went to Israel & Turkey in Aug. Stayed a week in Jerusalem with day trips to Haifa, Masada & Dead Sea. Stayed 3 days in Istanbul & 3 days sailing the Eastern Med around Fethiye. Both trips were outstanding. Food & culture/sights were great in both places, but the people were much friendlier (and cost of living much lower due to the falling lira) in Turkey.

Went to Iceland several years back (shortly after the GFC), and had a blast. The geography is simply stunning. People were exceptionally friendly.

Would love to sail the Dalmatian coast next summer! Also, give a look to Patagonia. Argentina seems to go through a currency crisis every few years and the exchange rate is favorable at the moment.
