I never knew, until a couple of weeks ago, that it's NOT Roger Waters


or David Gilmour singing "Have a Cigar" on "Wish You Were Here".

I saw a documentary on (I think) AXS a couple of weeks ago on the making of "Wish You Were Here" as the follow up to "Dark Side of the Moon" and how it started out with Gilmour playing 4 notes and that inspiring Waters to think of Syd Barrett. Good documentary on the band at that time.

For "Have a Cigar" though, a folk singer named Roy Harper sang that song. See the Wiki entry linked for the (Paul Harvey voice) Rest of the Story.
