When I sold my home in CA, buyers thought there was wood floors under a
carpet that sat even with the surrounding flooring. They asked me about it after the house had closed on a visit to show the in-laws the house. BTW,never allow this, can only lead to problems. Problem was they asked about the living room rug, not the family room carpet, so I assumed they knew the difference. I even offered to show them there was flooring under the living room rug. I rented the house back for a month from them so my daughter could finish school. This was in June. After they moved in, all hell broke loose when they discovered what was pretty obvious to anyone that the family room carpet was inlaid in the floor. Idiot then tried to sue me. All this was a month after the house was sold and I had moved to AZ. They hounded the sales agents on both sides relentlessly. Fortunately, they didn't have my new phone no. I showed up in court, but they didn't, just wanted to make me return to CA to make me spend the money on travel and housing. Laughs on them, I visited with my daughter while there. Asshats made out tho when they sold it a couple years later. Real estate took off just after I left. They doubled their money.
