And when "most" people want to cram a 15k arena, how to allocate?

Once again, no love for scalpers.

But if 30k people want to attend a show with 15k capacity, how do you pick the lucky few?

Seems as though market-price is the most efficient way -- if somebody thinks the concert is worth $185, and I only think it's worth $110...........well, I guess the $185 person has a better argument/claim than me.

Should people stand in line for every ticket, camp out? Ah, but that isn't fair to people who have work/family commitments. What about "standing in line" on the Internet, for 10am sales? Ah, not fair to people who can't jump on their computer or phone.

Feats of strength? Thousand-word essays, detailing your love for the band? Random lottery?

I'm always confused why so many people are perfectly fine with supply/demand in the stock-market, real estate, employment, baseball cards -- but when it comes to concerts & sporting events (or Christmas toys!), suddenly it becomes this silly conversation about "fairness".

The same person bragging about a 65% return on their townhouse in Ashburn -- they're also the same person who complains, because they had to pay an extra $35 for Taylor Swift.
