The biggest problem the MR Spyder lacked was a LSD


I think in order to race in showroom stock, you are limited to whatever the manufacturer offered as an option. The MX5 offered a LSD, but Toyota never offered one in the Spyder. Bummer, because those cars were very close in performance.

Mazda just significantly upped their game, so Toyota better bring a lot more power.
