In any case, the USNWR leadership is based in NY and has a history of leaning left. I think the USNWR editor was an Obama speechwriter or something. In any case, USNWR recently de-emphasized standardized test scores to a measly 10% weight, which is outright laughable, and now factors in 'social mobility'.

I see a few WTF entries in the USNWR list but it is not completely useless. It is funny how VT's SAT profile can be 50 points higher than FSU's, and VT can have such a huge R&D budget and excellence in hard sciences, yet be ranked so far below FSU. No intelligent parent would start with USNWR in their college research.
