Graduation Rates and Retention Rates are a major component of USN&WR

Remember this is only Undergraduate statistics. They don't evaluate Graduate programs or research at all.

I like the idea about salaries. They don't focus on that, just the performance of the school at bringing in a student population that will complete the degree in a reasonable amount of time. The so called weeder schools that admit everyone and weed them out in the first year will not do well in these rankings. The commuter schools will not do as well for this reason. I think this may be Louisville's problem.

The Critera are Outcome (graduation & retention): 35%
Peer Review: 20%
Faculty Resources (teacher to student ratio): 20%
Financial Resources: 10%
Selectivity and Test Scores: 10%
Alumni Giving: 5%
