Hardly nonsense. I'd say better than 50/50 odds right now. All computer

models as of the 1 pm runs are in agreement right now for a Cat 3 or 4 minimum landfall somewhere in the immediate NC/SC border area on Thursday into Friday and then it gets tricky as to how much rain and surge continue and for how long with the storm meandering. NC/SC will with near 100% certainty experience a hurricane and get scrubbed hard and close to that for VA in terms of epic flooding. Hardly nonsense. It will be a bad storm. Only real question is catastrophic or just bad right now.

I'm betting game is cancelled tomorrow or by Wednesday at latest. ECU won't hold practice probably starting tomorrow once this is solidified with absoluteness to allow players to prepare and help family etc..

Edit.... you may be too young to remember what Hugo did to South Carolina back in 89. The national weather service is predicting this to be a similar storm. If true this will be devastation on a massive scale. Just google Hugo images for reference. Not trying to be alarmist. This is just gonna be bad and football will be the least of anyones worries in NC and VA in 3 days and for the coming weeks is this bares out.

"The National Hurricane Center is forecasting Florence to be a major hurricane (Category 3 or 4) when it arrives at the Southeast coast Thursday. Florence may become only the fourth Category 4 hurricane to make landfall along the U.S. East Coast north of Georgia, joining Hugo (1989), Gracie (1959) and Hazel (1954), according to the historical database."
