I agree that the actual offensive play call in going for it is debatable


But I think when ALL factors are considered, it's hard to argue that we should have kicked the FG.

I'm guessing we intentionally picked the least risky play we could go for in that situation though with the thought being that FSU wasn't going to go 99 yards on us... and were far more likely to give us a Safety.... so we didn't want to do something that could lead to a turnover away from the established scrum (leading to a fumble/INT return). I personally would have preferred an under center QB sneak... but given that we rarely go under center these days, I understand why we did not.

Generally speaking under Fuente, I haven't found myself questioning a decision of when to go for it and when to kick a FG. But several times I have questioned the tactics used to go for it (the fake FG against Clemson being the worst... I don't think anyone in the stadium thought we were actually kicking a FG there).
