1. #25 - Anybody else have a mild-moderate heart attack when he went down and couldn't put any weight on his leg on the way to the sideline? Yeah, me neither......
2. Hewitt - Is there a more improved player on our team? That guy lived in the backfield. Mad props to him to his work in the S&C department in changing his body and becoming more explosive off the snap. Very impressive play last night.
3. With regards to S&C, is it too early to give Hilgart another raise? Who would have thought that we would have looked that much bigger, stronger, and faster than FSU? It is also fun watching him react to plays on the sideline...he keeps our guys pumped up the whole game and looks like he genuinely enjoys being out there. We nailed this hire.
4. Cobra Kai - Strike first strike hard and if you dont like the narrative, change it. Checked all of those boxes.
5. Finally luck seemed to really be on our side...any one of the high snap over Jackson's head, fumbled punt return by Caroll, or fumble by McClease could have been recovered by FSU...their 2 fumbles could have been recovered by them...a bit of luck to have every single one of those things go our way.
6. 4th and 1 from the goal line. I'm fine with the decision. Get 6 there and it is over. Miss and they have horrible field position. I would have preferred RPO or the jump pass to Cunningham...they sold out on the run.
7. The third quarter was boring, which was great...it was fun to watch them stay buried deep in their territory...pretty cool back and forth all quarter long and tip of the hat to their defense for their play in the third to keep them in the game.
8. Wheatley looked pretty good on those 2 jet sweeps
9. Grimsley - I really like the attitude (and laughed at him cleaning out Taylor and clapping while Kumah was still running toward the end zone), but hope the PF he got was his last one...that was a major momentum killer
10. Pathetic coverage by ESPN. It felt like they took every single opportunity possible to make excuses for FSU and paint us in a negative light. Fowler barely reacted when Farley got his second pick of the night...felt very much like us vs the world last night, which makes it all the more sweet to have beaten them that badly at their home...and how about all that positive press on ESPN today?? looks like we didnt even play last night.

Great to go 1-0. This is going to be a fun team to watch this year!
